Buying Hairy Vetch seeds in Melbourne?

Hello, I have a friend who is staying in Melbourne Australia for a few days. He has offered to get me some Hairy Vetch, Alfalfa and Rye seeds. He said he will be moving to the city and staying in the CBD (Central Business District). He is a pretty keen gardener, so:
1. Could someone suggest a decent gardening store in Melbourne that is close to where he stays. A place that may stock Hairy Vetch seeds with the inoculum (Rhizobium Leguminosarum, type C). He can always call them up to confirm.
2. Are there any places he could visit which would prove informative and educational for the home gardener(I've already thought of the Royal Botanic Garden - Melbourne). |

| I know this is not all that helpful but I believe ( I stress that word) that I saw some the other day in Gardenworld in braeside near Springvale. I am sure someone will come up with a closer location but heys it a start. I would ring them to make sure tho. As for somewhere to go I can't reccomend a place but I personally really really disliked the botanical gardens in Melbourne, I expected a lot more especially as it has been there for so long. I would not take anyone there unless they really wanted to go, but that is my personal view. |
