Can anyone tell me exactly when i should cut my lavendar to dry them, it is spring here now being the 8th October 2008, and I have been told there are seeds on lavendar, exactly where do i look for these seeds please.
If i knew how to add an image i would, i took some photos of my lavendar today, the both varieties are flowering.
Thank you for any advice you can give me.

RE: Lavendar

Hi , lavender cut for drying should be harvested just before the flowers open. If you wait until they are open they will crumble and fall off when dry. To harvest seeds you need to wait until the flower has finished and has started drying off (dying), cut the flower heads and put in a paper (not plastic) bag until dry and the seeds will fall to the bottom of the bag. Hope this helps.
