| It is just glorious sitting here, whilst I work, at home, sitting at my computer. I keep getting a whiff of the flowering Murraya, wafting through my window.
I think it is such a lovely plant, works so well as a hedge, fast growing and dense. And when it flowers....it's just so beautiful! I know some people don't like it because it can become a bushland weed, but at this moment in time, I am loving it !
In the background is the sweet bell of the bell birds sitting up in the blue gums, and I can also hear lorrikeets chattering away. In fact there must be about 10 different bird sounds, it's just wonderful.
I live on the central coast.
Just had to tell someone ! |

| Popi I cannot grow those highly perfumed plants as they affect me Yes it is a fantastic feeling to look outside and enjoy the birds that are visiting the garden Popi and that is what I have plenty of, they are having a ball on the flowering Natives at present so many Eucalypts and Grevillea's flowering now and even one of my many Callistemons is starting to burst into bloom.. They enjoy a bath and a drink here are some of the Lorikeets enjoying them selves. Scaly-breasted Lorikeet.
Rainbow Lorikeet looking on probably wondering when it can have a go..
This is the life..
Anyone out there got any bird pics .. |

| They are lovely pics. Thanks ! I was in the garden yesterday and 3 cockies announced themselves from across the valley, and flew into my garden. I think its funny they make such a racket, and screech. Certainly not quiet birds ! I had to make a hasty exit as the hoppy joe ants discovered me, as I dug into their nest...gee they are horrible ! I have to be so cautious in the garden, you never know what will pop up. |

| Popi Thank You.. We don't get that many cockies visiting us now since I stopped planting Sunflowers.. The Ants are terrible here too at present I spent three hours watering the garden on Friday and was bitten so much as I only had thongs on I had to go and put my boots and socks on, I do hope we don't get these Fire Ants in our garden that got discovered in 2001 very nasty little blighters they are.. Thankfully the DPI is doing their best, goodness we don't want another population explosion like the dreaded Cane Toad do we.. |
