| Hi
Taking my Mum on a short driving break at the end of the month, does anyone know of any decent nurseries (tropicals of course) but not your run of the mill garden centres after anything special.
thanks

| Maryborough is out. Nothing too out-of-the (very) ordinary here. If I wasn't going to be having a houseful of people at that time, I'd say call in, but I don't think you'll fit! :) You will be (almost) passing Bamboo Land at Torbanlea - it's well sign posted, and Linda Percival has some to-die-for broms if you're after those - she's at Bells Bridge, just north of Gympie, on the highway. I can get hold of her phone number if you need it. |

| Don't forget Fairhill nursery at Yandina. There are quite a few specialist palm nurseries around the Sunshine Coast area. Check out the yellow pages for a few suggestions. Besides that and the brom one at Bell's Bridge that Liatris suggested, I can't think of anything different. |

Steve, Not too many decent nurseries here in Bundy, mainly run of the mill stuff. There are however some of the best Bromeliad growers in Queensland here along with other members of The International Tropical Foliage and Garden Society Inc. who have their own specialities when it comes to tropical plants. Email me and let me know when you are going to be up here and I am sure you will be able to fill your car with goodies! Andrew. |

Hello, My daughter took me to visit a nursery on the road between Gympie and Imbil. Beautiful area and home. Ducks. |
