My red hot poker is all yellow. Are there different colours in these flowers?

Lots. If you think of them as knifophia, rather than red hot pokers, then the "red" bit won't worry you so much. Much work has been done in the area of hybridisation and these lovely plants come in reds, oranges, pinks, yellow, almost whites, and greeny tinges. They also come in a wide range of sizes, and bloom at different times.
cheers, Jan

Sparaxis is entirely correct and I think your yellow form looks terrific.

Looks like the one I bought last year. I think it was Percy's Pride.
