disappointing petunias

Has anyone else bought Pohlman's petunias and been disappointed in the flower quality?
I bought 8 of their punnets of passion pink, passion burgundy, romantic red and a few others from their signature series of ruffled flowers. The plants are extremely healthy and thriving but the flowers are certainly nothing special. Ruffled is the greatest over statement that I have read for some time. They look like a normal flower that has dehydrated and slightly wrinkled on the edges. Not worth buying |

| Hi HJ Yes I bought a punnet of Petunias around April as I find if I plant them then they sit and sulk all over the winter but as soon as the weather warms up they are off as they have done a little growing in the time. I bought the double ones and Iam very happy with them as they are one of the plants that Iam having no trouble with I only get the $1:88 a punnet ones from Big W they seen to flower better that the more expensive ones, next year or later after the heat have a go with these ones you will not be disapointed. Here are a couple from that punnet. You may have seen them in the Oz Gallery when I posted them before ....Cheers..MM.

| Noice! I'm thinking Petunias in place of the dying Pansies. Pretty hard to kill a Petunia. I even had a self-seeded one growing. Currently admiring some awesome Hippiastrums. I checked back to the pic I took of one last year and it's to the day. |

| Mine look nothing like yours MM! They really are ruffled. Fingers crossed that the first flowers are immature. Heaps more ready to burst so I will withold my harsh judgements for a few more flowers. |

| I don't have a huge amount of luck with them either. They look straggly with dead leaves up the stems and sometimes a flower on the end. I have cut them right back and dosed them with Charlie Carp and they come back OK. Mine are all in pots/baskets. |

I saw MMs pics and went to Bunnings and was able to get some.Their progress is good ,only a few tiny flowers. I will give them some Charlie Carp and see if that gives them a wriggle on. I can see the ruffle emerging. Cheers Michelle |
