| Hi All
I received a mistaken delivery of blue crusher dust to my property about a year ago (think it was for the house across the road)...
Anyhow, it ended up getting spread around when we had some earthworks done.
Most of my soil everywhere else is acid, testing around 5.5 to 6.5.
Sadly where the crusher dust was dumped I had planned to grow camellias... pity the pH is now around 7.5 to 8.5 !!!!!
I've surfed the net and found a number of remedies including elemental sulfur, peat moss, pine bark/straw, coffee grounds, nitrogen/ammonium based fertilizers and making sure there is plenty of organic matter.
I was just wondering whether anyone had any experience with any of these methods?? Some links seemed to suggest it was a difficult and time consuming thing to do to try to correct it, or that you ran the risk of "over-acidifying"... Should I just give up on the camellias and plant something else?
