Brisbane Garden Show

Went today.
Stayed for about half hour and saw everthing twice.
What a waste of our valuable gardening time and $28 for Judy and I.
Do not go, do not waste your money.
Very little about Gardening.
Only decent stalls were Greg from 'Palms for Brisbane' and International Cordyline Society' who put on a great display.
Other that that not much else.
Ian

How disappointing. Seems to be the way, with many shows, perhaps they price themselves out of the range of interesting specialist growers, much like the mags do with their advertising rates. There was an excellent spring show at carrara one year, very interesting exhibits, it partly happened the following year with most bizarre and sparse "garden or plant" things mostly landscaping and mowers, and it fizzled out after that.

Thank you so much Ian.

I planned not to go, trusting instinct but still had a niggling doubt that I might have missed something special. You put my mind at ease.

Shame you didn't enjoy it.
I really enjoyed it but I am a total people person and am very content to enjoy seeing other people , facial expressions, different age groups etc.
Don't see how you could get round twice in half an hour, maybe just proves that I really don't know anything about gardening cause I loved it and learnt heaps!
