backyard birds

This site was stuck under my nose today; looks like a good one despite a slight orientation to a southern area. The descriptions are about the right length, but have trouble, as always, trying to sound out the bird talk.

Here is a link that might be useful: Birds in backyards

Hi Rose,
Thankyou so much for that link, it is really interesting. I even joined up so I can take part in their surveys! I just love our backyard birds (even the ones out the front lol)
Cheers,
Dee.

RE: backyard birds

g'day rose,

i'm a member there as well hoping it will help identify birds easier than the book i have, though i did try a search for something called a little eagle in the book and got results showing 2 kites that are also in the book so not sure will look further some other time to see why book and online appear different.
