| We have a major problem with this weed - I suspect it came in with some pea straw I bought not from my usual supplier. We've triedpulling it up but it just seems to regrow, and is infesting all the rose beds and veggie beds. We have got to the point where we are ready to use roundup, but wonder if anyone has a better solution to kill it off. I'm not keen on roundup near my roses and this stuff is actually strangling the stems. You can almost see it grow!

| You could try the smothering method. Cover with at least 6 sheets of newspaper, making sure you overlap it well, then cover with mulch. I have used this method on couch grass and the like, but never on buttercups. Goodluck, Cheers, Dee |
