Does anyone know of a nursery that sells pandanus amaryllifolius, also known as the fragrant screw pine. The strappy leaves are used in Asian cooking. How big is the plant & will it grow as far south as Sydney?
Thanks for any help. |

I just got a couple of these off a friend, we used a axe to severe the pups from the parent. I would like to grow these too- they form a large clump if let go and have no thorns. Im not sure if it would grow in Sydney- they are doing very well on the Atherton Tbland at 800m asl, down to 5 most winters but briefly. With no frost they should do ok in Sydney. If you find a distributor please let me know Kris |
