When does it start to warm up?

| Just wondering when does it start to warm up? Its still cold here on gold coast. And as I am young(ish) I have never noticed if it gets warm and jumps quickly or just gradually. Please help. Will it be 3 degrees hotter everyday in 2 weeks or is it very gradual?
Thanks

| Well Paul I live 32kms South of Brissie I am beginning to wonder myself as Hubby has lit the Slow Combustion Heater tonight, it got down to 8 degrees last night and with no fire going it was freezing at 6am today so we put the Reverse cycle A/C on. Tassie Oak floorboards all through the house and 1200cms off the ground makes our house very cold. Looking through my 2004 Diary the temps started getting into the high 20's the last three days in September but the nights were still very cool with overnight ranging from 7-14 till that last week 2003 was a warmer season with lots of days in September over 30 degrees, on September 10th it was 33 degrees, guess we will just have to wait and see, so rug up and keep busy. Cheers...MM |

| Thanks for the thought. Just have not been gardening at all. No money to do what I want to and so turned off being in the garden (still starting business). All good and healthy indeed! thanks PAul |

| g'day paul, good to see you back had been wondering what you may have been up to. how is bub coming along probably big enouigh to be a fishing companion by now huh chuckle. usually you would expect it to start getting warm after around the second week of september, but be carefull the first 2 weeks of september can dump some cold on us just in case you are planning on planting summer crops early. len mail len lens garden page |

2 days ago, I buried a min/max thermometer 8cm deep in the vege patch and it registered min: 9.5 C, max 10 C. So, it will be at least a couple of weeks before I can start sowing anything... Rose-Marie |

| Paul - if you really want to have a look, there's some great info on the Bureau of Meteorology website. There's rainfall and temperature maps for different regions, including monthly averages. Mind you, our climate seems to be nuts these days! But it is interesting, if nothing else. |
