Anyone had any luck propogating grevillia seeds. I have a few from off my small Bunnings grevillia and am wondering if they would be neutral or hybridised or whether I could actually grow new trees from them. Thoughts?

It is quite possible that they may not grow true to type. The only way you can guarantee getting the same plant is to grow it from cutting or grafting. You have the seeds though, so why not give it a try? Isn't that half the fun...a bit of experimentation?
Cheers,
Dee.

I have no trouble growing Grevillea banksii seeds the plants just pop up all over the place too.
So do my neighbours Grevillea robusta ( Silky Oak ) them ones I have to pull out as soon as I see them
As they grow to 30 mts, if you want any seeds from GB 3 mts red flowers email me as its flowering at present.
Sorry I cannot help you about those store bought ones, but as Dee said try cuttings. Cheers...MM

Larsman you probably won't end up with anything like the parent plant, but then that can be a bit of fun, too. Cultivars will revert and open-pollinated plants may be some different colour. Vegetative propagation is the only sure way.
Grevillia seed has a hard waxy coating that benefits from some pre-treatment. Sandpapering one side may help speed up germination.
