Sending plants interstate

Hi to anyone who can help me,
I'm sending some plants, via the Exchange forum, from Vic. to Qld. I need to know whether I have to wash all the soil off the roots first, and if so, what is the best way to pack them. I was thinking perhaps damp sawdust.
Cheers,
Dee.

Hi Dee,
I just wrap the roots in moist paper towel/newspaper,cover with small plastic freezer bag & secure with rubber band/tie,this keeps the roots nice & moist. You have an email.Judy

Better not to unless from a certified grower. But then the postage can be high.
