My Hubbie is trying to locate Daphne cneorum--Rose Daphne which he grew very well in the NW USA..... we are in NW Tasmania and he feels the climate would be ok for it here.

A web search did not help us very much.....

Any suggestions?

Thanks

RE: Daphne cneorum--Rose Daphne

Woodbank Nursery near Hobart had about 15 species and varieties of Daphne in their catalogue but they've closed down. I don't think there would have been a nursery in Australia that had the range of interesting plants that Ken Gilanders propagated. What a shame.

I too find it hard to spot any Daphnes at all at local nurseries here in NSW. (Flower Powers you name it..)
I mean have people forgotten about this wonderfully scented shrub.
