I have this growing in my garden.

Has anyone had much success growing it from cuttings ? When is the best time to take cuttings ?

Thanks gardening people.

For me autumn is the best time for cuttings, it grows easily here, that said ours is ideal climate for lavenders, hot and dry 6 months, mild, dry and beautiful for three and semi wet and cool (no frosts) for the rest. It self seeds here as well so I only did cuttings when I wanted a hedge (now it's gone :-))

HI ya,
I grew it up here in Qld, it grew successfully without flowers, though not from cuttings. I lost them when we had sooooo much rain, and the drainage was poor. Good luck with yours.

Grows really easily from cuttings, even in Winter. Just snip off some tips about 10 cms long, remove botton half of leaves, dip in honey and stick in a small pot. Will strike more quickly and reliably if you cover the pot with plastic - a cut-off soft-drink bottle is good, and you probably won't have to water it if the soil is damp to start with.
