Hi All,
I am keen to find suppliers of these orchids I saw on a recent tv show. These orchids, were suspended from a green house roof.

The orchids, cattleya's I think?? Were growing upside down from the base of the pot. Would love to have some, if someone can advise me of a supplier etc.

Plus keenly interested in suppliers for full grown hedges, anything that grows upto 5oft in height. Much appreciated.

Many Thanx jlst

g'day jlst,

try those bigger nurseries ie.,. hawkins etc.,. the nurseries are situated under various names on all sides of the city, they generally have a good range of orchids in stock.

check out do a search for the orchid society qld site, they may have links there that will help, the best i reckon is to attend the orchid show at the mt coot-tha bot' gardens about this time of the year not sure? you can buy some realy special one there direct from the grower.

Thanx Len,
I've been to an orchid show there many years back. Good idea, might be able to source the plant there or the technique etc.

Plus, thought about the local nursery etc but thought I might need a place that specialises in full grown hedge plants, came across a site once but it was in victoria, so strategically impossible etc.

Thanks for all your info etc.

Hi, You might find some on ebay too. I live in Melb and have bought some off ebay from sellers who are in QLD They seem to grow really well there. Your really lucky most of the cattleyas prefer the warm humid weather so you should have no trouble growing them.
