What is this great tree in the middle of the road?

I'm assuming this is a Redland Council planted native. I really like it's form and the flower formation on the top side of the branches giving it this snow-laden kind of appearance. Any advances on a name?

B I have had similar questions to this before I found this website. If you don't find an answer shortly then phone your local council, ask for the parks department.

In my district they are very helpful, may even tell you where to find tube stocks.

Good suggestion thanks Nod. I had wondered about that too. Cheers.
