| My Cycad Revoluta has produced several, large, orange seeds. I Googled growing them from seed and while there is quite a lot of info on the net, the instructions vary from peeling off the orange outer layer, soaking them, then drying them, then putting them in perlite and vermiculite and keeping damp, to simply planting them in the ground and see what comes up! I can't seem to find out how long the seeds should remain on the plant or if they should be picked at a certain time of year.
Anybody tried successfully to grow these plants? If so, any advice you can offer, greatly appreciated. |
