Papyrus growth

I would like to get a papyrus plant growing, but do not have a pond with a pump/flowing water. Can I keep the plant in a bathtub and change the water fortnightly or similar? Any help would be appreciated.

You could even grow this in a large pot with soil/potting mix,as long as they are kept damp, they are very easy to grow.I wouldnt even bother changing the water, just add some fish to keep the mozzies down.

I have one in a pot placed in an old galvanised bucket under a mock pump. I don't do anything except top up the water from time to time. It does just fine.

Cheers,
Dee.

I used to have it growing in a garden bed and it was only watered occasionally. It is a hardy grower.
