is anyone growing casabanana - Sicana odorifera Naud. or Cucurbita odorifera Vell.?

The purdue web site says you must have a strong trellis - would the south side of a pergola do? or do they need more sunlight?

Unless you know someone who is growing it, you'll have problems locating seeds as, according to the AQIS database, it is a prohibited import...
