| Hi MM, It is so good that you are getting some decent rain at last. Doesn't it just feel wonderful. We had some good rain a few days ago and it helped so much but it would be good to have a follow up pretty soon. Enjoy your well deserved rest from bucket brigade!! Cheers, Dee. |

| We have had some useful rain, about 80mls all up so far but not as much as other areas close by. Still I'm happy with that it was nice steady soaking rain not damaging downpours. I was hoping for enough to flush out the dam to freshen it up but not enough for that. Very windy and cool, and not very pleasant to be out in. Gives me a chance to catch up on those indoor jobs I keep putting off because the garden beckons :) It is clearing a little now and reduced to occasional showers. I was watching the satellite maps yesterday and commented on how the heavy rain just went passed each side of us while we only had lighter rain. At least the local farmers should have had good rain. Looking forward to spending all weekend in the garden - my favourite past-time |

| this'll stop you watering with buckets LOL over 100mm in the last two days at sunny Dicky Beach and doesn't everything look as though they are enjoying it. even the magpies have come back to the garden - I think they've finally won the turf war with the magpie butcher birds - haven't seen the butcher birds for nearly a week (hope its not bird flu) |

Got more rain over the day. No watering at all will be done here for quite a while. Too dark to read the rain gauge but maybe another 10mm in it. Cheers..MM. |

| You'll be pleased to know that over the coming months you will be getting more rain as there are some patterns developing that could see the end of any drought conditions in Eastern Australia. Late March and April will see a lot more weather changes. I won't bore you with the reasons, because the technicalities are cumbersome but I do a bit of forecasting on my daily blog and will be adding information about the weather throughout this month. I posted a bit of infor. under the title Mad March Moon if you want to read it. So batten down the hatches and make sure the drains are working well! |

Well we are finally having a rainfree day. The sky is overcast with patches of sunshine.A strong breeze is blowing so it might dry up the yard a bit. We have had 226mm of rain over the last month and the ground will not soak any more up. I don't think I will have to water for another month. Hope the people who need have our share for a while. |

| Here in the "dry tropics" the rainfall for February was 18ml compared to an average of 280+. The Weather Bureau keeps forecasting rain, showers and storms, but it doesn't happen very often. Our dam was down to 5% but has managed to pick up a bit. |

Six days later its still raining:: Sunday only lightly but constant...Winter clothes on today. Its 19 degrees in the house and dare I say Iam Cold.....MM. |

| That rain must be such a welcome sight, even if you're feeling cold. As a matter of interest MM, would you have thought 19 degrees was cold when you lived in Melbourne? To me that is the perfect temperature!! Anymore than 25 degrees and I start complaining about the heat! Maybe it's just me. |

| Dee, I wish winter never went below 25C! When it gets much below that the jeans and long sleeves come out. MM, although cool overnight, we haven't had any rain since Friday morning, except for a couple of windblown sprinkles which weren't enough to wet you. Today is beautiful and sunny with a light breeze, great for working in the garden, which is where I have been all morning. This afternoon is going to be spent mowing the yard - the price of rain! |

| Very Grey and damp here... Dee like a Melbourne Winter and you are right I remember when it was 20 degs in Melbourne I would often say, if only it would stay like this all the time so you are spot on.. I love the Melbourne Climate its hubby that wants to live here I would go back any day I know it would not take me long to get used to it again but for now I am cold and had to put the thongs away this morning and find my moccies, track pants and long sleeve shirt...I cannot even go outside to finish my new raised bed for my Gerbera's that I started yesterday but gave up in the end as the swaying of those tall tees and the cracking I could hear put me right off. Now its drizzling all the time but I am not complaining... Its been very windy here GH actually I heard on the news this morning thousands had no electricity I think it was bad down the Gold Coast, we have small tree branches down all over the block so another job to do tomorrow I mowed the day before it rained so its still short and very green now. Its Wonderful............Cheers...MM. |

| Garden worm, no rain at all on Sunday, just blue skies, light breeze and warm temps - perfect autumn weather, though would like a lot more rain to top the dams up. Further south around the Gold Coast was copping it, I'm glad we didn't have to put up with the wind down there. Hope the wind has eased for you MM as you aren't too far from there. That goes for any others in the affected areas and no-one has had any damage. |
