Can Grevilla be grown from cuttings? What would be the best method of doing this? I am new to gardening in OZ and am very eager to learn especially about growing native plants. Thanks

Hi, janetwil and Welcome to the G.W.Forums there is also a Forum for Australian Native Plants where all the experts hang out..I am not one .... Have a look at the link below and down the bottom of the page click on Plant Propagation Pages, then on that page click on Strike a cutting or two, which will give you more details on how to prepare and pot up the cuttings.. I have grown a few natives by seed, especialy Grevillea banksii as there are always plenty of seeds on my plants I have never grown natives from cuttings, just lots of other plants ....
Good luck with your first try ......Cheers..MM

Here is a link that might be useful: Grevillea cuttings

Yep. You betcha. Just rip of a branchlet, strip the bottom half of the leaves off. Put 'em in a course soil that won't pack down over time and keep 'em moist. I find Grevilleas are the easiest to propagate from cuttings. Don't take much notice of proponents of rooting hormone compounds and enchanted soil mixes. Just rip 'em off and shove 'em in I say. Just be patient. It could be many months before you see growth in the cuttings. But what would I know.
