does anyone know when is the best time to plant out a camellia from pot into ground ?

I would just do it once the weather has cooled off and you won't be getting any more hot days. I have dug up several over the past few weeks and put them in pots, they are all doing very well, but I have kept the water up to them.

Hi, unlike most plants camellias are actually in a state of dormancy when beginning to flower, and this is the best time to transplant camellias. Wait until it is covered in buds - usually late this season (autumn). Having said this, pot grown camellias can be planted at any time given enough water and after care. Cheers
