Gosh it's great to be able to ask so many gardeners questions like these. So thanks in advance to anyone who maybe able to offer some advice.
I have some beautiful belladonna lillies growing, both white and pink and I was thinking someone may know the best way to encourage them to multiply.
Obviously dividing them up and spreading them around will increase their location or do they resent being moved?
Would it be better to leave the flower stems on the plants after the blooms have finished, to form seeds or would cutting them off allow the bulbs to increase better?
On the other hand, if I allow seeds to form, how quickly do the baby plants form flowering bulbs. That is 'if' I can get the seed to grow and another thought... when is it at it's best?
As you can tell, I'm smitten with these flowers and would love oodles of them coming up at this time of year.
