I have tickets to Chelsea

| The day we arrive in England at 5.45 a.m. is the last day of the Chelsea Flower Show.
we have 2 tickets to go there, woooohooooooooooo.
I guess we will be very tired but everyone says not to go to bed in the daytime on the day you arrive there so this will keep us awake, hopefully. We will just have to steer clear of any comfortable looking seats.
What a shame that I will not be able to join in the last day plant sale but I will enjoy the sight of it all I am sure.

My daughter went to London for Xmas. She stayed here the night before she left, and I drove her to the airport. As we headed off to bed, she prepared herself for a long sleepless night here, reading, watching DVD's, riding the exercise bike, etc. She only slept for about 1 hour, and that meant she was incredibly tired byt the time she boarded. She slept all the way to Hong Kong, spent a few hours doing her Xmas shopping there, before boarding for London. She slept a lot of the way to London, and was wide awake when she arrived. That wasy she made the change over very easily. Coming back was another story, but she had the weekend to catch up. I must say she is like me - a good sleeper most of the time. My partner tried a similar tactic when he went to the US - he just started getting up extremely early for a few days. Worked well, but his co-worker was very jet lagged during the trip. Better to suffer jet lag on the return home. Have a great trip and a fantastic visit to Chelsea! Cheers, Jan |

| Well I reckon there is nothing worse than Jet Lag so I hope you cope with it OK. As you get older it gets harder believe me always best if you can stop overnight half way. I tried all the tricks in the book the first time me went and I was a lot younger they did not work for me, but the rellies kept us awake all day tasting the duty free goodies ( it was a Saturday ) but the time dragged by so slow all the same. Marion you have to buy something as Pam said on principle, would you believe we went to Harrods and bought a bread roll just so I could say yes I have shopped there.....What a wonderful opportunity to see such a fantastic show, you will have a terrific time, and bring back heaps of pics so we can see all the beautiful places you have been....Cheers..MM. |

I went to Chelsea a few years ago. It was wonderful. The best thing was the inspiration it gave me to try different things in my garden by way of making the most of every little spot. I wish for your sake you weren't going on the day you arrive in London as I found it very tiring. It was a hot day, very crowded, and the Poms don't do shade and cold drinks like we do. Would I go again? Yes! Have a great time. |
