I don't often have time to poke around the US forums but given the odd comment here and there in OZ, I thought I'd look in on "Suggestions and comments".
Seems our friends across the big pond are even less enamoured over the recent changes.

| yeh alison, not good hey i hang around a few forums over there and the drop off in posts is nothing short of astounding. and the way things are going with their ads it is even slowing firefox down, said to my lovely today it won't be long now and i reckon i'll concentrate on the other places i frequent, we can have the same chatting with no ads. len |

| All I'm doing here is looking to see if it gets fixed still no emails coming through apparently we don't exist if you try to send email via our page GW was a great site I think I may look elswhere we seem to be using too many Mbs logging in etc |

Hi Alison..I look sometimes but havn't for a while, yes some are a bit rough for a Garden Site.
I did not realise iVillage went in for all that, nobody happy over there.
Especially about some of those ads Thank goodness we dont get them.. |

| g'day mm, by "rough" i take it you mean basic not many bells and whistles, that can be great from where i stand, and the moderators of those forums will add new specialised forums usually without much ado, so if gardeners frequent them then they can shape them how they need them. the best bit i reckon the moderators are part of the group as a whole they are gardeners & they respond and they post, too easy hey? len |

| O no Len they are not the ads Iam talking about. I think the ones they are talking about are R rated. |

| i'm talking about the ads 'r' rated or not yes i see the USA forums some are concerned about content but lots others it's simply the bombardment of ads. len |

| Len its also the content of some of the threads, not really what GW would have permitted in the days we remember. Not wishing to sound prudish, just kind of surprised at the element that has infiltrated over there, on what was previously a very tightly run site for family use. |
