Where in Brisbane - to get plants/bulbs

| Hello all - I'm from Singapore and will be in Brisbane for a few days at the end of Nov. I would like to be able to pick up some plants &/or bulbs that could survive in tropical/subtropical type environments to bring back here. Unfortunately, I won't have much mobility, as I will not be getting a car. I will be located around the Edward St area.
Are there any nurseries/gardencentres near to where I can find such plants? I understand some large supermarkets may carry such as well. Any suggestions? If any of you do, I would really, really appreciate if you could be as specific as possible, with the names of the place, address and approx how far away from Edward St. Hope that's not too much to ask ;-).
Thanks in advance.
cheers,
M. |

Hi M, I am pretty sure that unless you have a specific permit, you won't be able to leave australia with anything of the plant variety. Customs laws here in australia are very strict and for good reason too! Good luck with your search though. Cheers, Mel... |
