| Hope someone can help
I have a large lavender hedge that is about 3 years old.
But in the middle of this hedge are about six plants that have heavy yellowing of the lower leaves. They still produce lots of flowers but the discolouerd leaves are a concern. They get the same amout of water and fertiliers as the rest.
Any Ideas....

| Hi there, lavender hedges can be temperamental! The average lavender plant has a life span of about 4 years or so, so it is possible that these particular ones are starting to run out of steam. It also sounds as though the drainage might not be quite as good in this particular spot... Do you give your hedge any dolomite lime?? If not, try a side dressing, applied sparingly and water it in. If they continue to decline you may need to replace them. What type of lavender is it by the way? Hope I've helped a bit. Philippa |

| Lavenders don't like too much fertilizer..... also have you been having inoordinate amounts of water????? That could be it... or if the leavs are shriveling it could need more water....:) |
