Rabbits in gardens

I have many roses that are being eaten by rabbits.I have heard that spraying a fish based fertilizer spray is a repellant to rabbits.Has anyone tried this or have any other ideas apart from poison to get rid of rabbits.in the garden.

Nth American gardeners use a spray-on deer deterrent to good effect. Also try rabbit-proof plants:
Kniphofia, Bergenia, Fennel, Acanthus, Euphorbia, Geranium, lots more. Try the link below-

Here is a link that might be useful: Rabbit proof plants

Thanks insignis for your prompt reply.I think I'll be of to the garden centre tomorrow to see what they have to offer in the way of fish fertilizers-at least the roses will get a good feed.

Seasons greetings, I am also subject to rabbit visits---and possums and hares!! I have noticed that after I started spraying the plants with a brew of neem oil and liquid fertilser all these critters have left even the roses alone. Not even a test nibble and the aphids are dealt to with the added bonus of healthy growth. Hope this helps--good gardening!
