Visit to NZ

| I am visiting Auckland for a conference leaving here on September 3rd. I'll have 4-5 days at each end of the conference to look around (I'll probably hire a car). Does anyone have suggestions as to gardens to visit in North Island. Will it be spring time (first half of September)? What about spring flowers - will there be much native flora flowering at this time?
Many thanks in advance for any tips.

RE: Visit to NZ

This morning the 2nd Sept the heavens have opened and the rain is pelting down. There are a few gardens to visit. The Botanical Gardens and Eden Gardens close to the city are looking a picture I believe. Eden Gardens were bilt from a disused quarry. If you go to the Visitors Centre in the city they should be able to give you several places to visit. Heather |
