lancewood seed required

Hello to all our trans-tasman neighbours. I would be interested in arranging an exchange of seed. I am particularly after seed of lancewood (Pseudopanax crassifolius, horoeka). I understand that fresh seed germinates readily. I would offer some seed in return. Let me know. Thanks.

As with all countries you should import all plants and seeds through a reliable and the proper chanels. That is to ensure we don't give you anything usavoury to multiply in your country keep it clean and green.

Thanks for the link Heather. You probably realise that our 2 countries operate the toughest quarantine laws in the world. Many established seed merchants now state that they will not export to Australia or New Zealand, as the parcels (clean & legal) are destroyed upon entry. It's the price we pay for protected agriculture.

Any luck with the Lancewood seed? I too would love some. Will keep you posted if I find it.
