Phormium Platts Black - in California

Phormium Platts Black has just hit the nursery trade here in Northern California.
Information about its mature height and width is still rather nebulous.

Could anyone provide me with your experience with this beautiful phormium ?

Thanks
Michelle in Northern California.

That's a hard one.
It's still quite new here and most people I know haven't had it too long. From what I can ascertain it's going to be around the 80cm-1m mark. But don't let this put you off planting it, it's a choice variety. One attractive small hybrid I do know to reliably stay around the one metre mark is Surfer. Green leaves marginally striped bronze, nice full clumps.
Hope this helps,

Douglas
