Pohotukawa allergy

Hi,
Have any of you known of anyone with an allergy to these plants. I am asking for someone who suffered a quite severe reaction to them. I had never heard of it before.

Hi Dee,
Can't say I have either! But it wouldn't surprise me, what with the huge numbers of allergies that are around. Was the Pohutukawa in flower at the time - i.e. did the person have an asthma-like reaction? or was it more a skin irritation? Sorry I can't help much more than offer sympathies to the person! |

Not that I have heard of, but I knew someone who was allergic to nz flax, phormiums.
