Where to buy Purple Queen dwarf beans?

Posted by Prospera ACT Aust (My Page) on

I'm trying to buy some Purple Queen dwarf beans for my visually impaired mother in Auckland. Can't send her any from Oz because of Customs restrictions. Does anyone know of an online or mail order company in NZ who can supply them for me? Mr Fothergill's produces them here, but don't know if they operate in NZ. Any info, much appreciated. Thank you!

Thanks Heather - I think the climbing Purple King, a wonderful bean, is freely available but not something my mother could manage in her little garden - wrestling with trellis would be beyond her - that's why I'm after the dwarf Purple Queen. She's over in Howick.

There are some purple dwarf beans in the Kings Catalogue.
If they are suitable. Email me and I can arrange o send her some, though it is too cold to plant them now.

I will check out Mr F's too.

Heather, I checked out the link to the Kings catalogue. "Purple Tee Pee" will do the trick just as well as whatever's available from Mr Fothergill's, I'm sure - probably the same bean... what's in a name?

Here's my direct email address so we can communicate privately: ywigman@austarmetro.com.au

And if you can pull this off for me, your blood's worth bottling...

Yvonne
