Looking for Gevuina (Gevuina avellana) seeds

Hi,

I live in Brisbane. I am looking for Gevuina avellana seeds in NZ. The common name is Gevuina or Chilean Hazelnut. The plant has been grown as a commercial crop plant for 30 years in NZ.

Can't help directly but you might want to check out the NZ Tree Crops Association. I know for sure that many of the members are avid eperimenters and growers. Either the national office - or one of the South Island chapters as hazels and many of the other nuts seem to do well there.

Don Teese from Yamina Rare Plants in Victoria has this species for sale.
