| Fagraea (gentianaceae) is used in Hawaii for leis - its a powerful fragrance wafter. As I undertand it F. berteroana is native to various tropical south pacific islands, F. schlecheri is from New Caledonia. The MAF plant biosecurity index suggests F. berteroana is at least present in the country; I wonder if anyone knows how it does here.

Have you tried Lake Ngatu Plantations at Awanui Landsendt at Oratia or Wharepuke up north some where Sounds interesting is it called evergreen frangipani. a pic has just been posted in the Oz Gallery. Heather |
