Anyone heard of Fagraea berteroana / schlechteri in NZ?

Fagraea (gentianaceae) is used in Hawaii for leis - its a powerful fragrance wafter. As I undertand it F. berteroana is native to various tropical south pacific islands, F. schlecheri is from New Caledonia. The MAF plant biosecurity index suggests F. berteroana is at least present in the country; I wonder if anyone knows how it does here.

Here's a photo of F. schlechteri I took in Ho'omaluhia botanic gardens, Kaneohe, Oahu, last month. To see a heap more photos of palms, mountains, beaches, etc, on Oahu, follow the link into my website.

Frangipani

No, the photo you mention is Plumeria obtusa (Apocynaceae) - often called the 'Singapore Frangipani' because it is widely grown there, but like all other Plumerias, its originally from the tropical Central Americas.
