Hi guys, this is my first post on this forum and thought Ii would satnd a better chance of a good answer from you.
Can anyone tell me the best way to propagate Acacia rubida from cutting s and when , this proves very happy here in Bolton uk. Would I be looking at softwood/tip cuttings etc- she hasn't flowered yet.
Ta in advance

RE: Acacia rubida help needed

I have checked through a few books and am unable to find Acacia rubida. Generally they are grown (acacias) from seed. The seed needs heat to germinate, some need fire to germinate. In the UK you are mid Winter, at this time of the year you would be taking hard wood cuttings. Good luck, Wattles are usually short lived perhaps 10 to 15 years.

Thanks very much for the help, I may try a few different cuttings types and see what is best as mine is not big enough to have seed yet(may be this year)

thanks Lou
