| I am looking for any variety of Climbing Butter Beans. Especially the ones that Watkins (now Yates) put out a few years ago.
I am at the moment using the Carnival brand from The Warehouse but they do not seem to be doing as well as the Yates variety. I know that Kings put out a bean seed but I was wondering whether anybody had the old Yates variety available. I am also looking for dahlia tubers. I used to have several hundred different varieties but with time and shifting tubers have died or were lost. Contact me through this page and we will set up something. |

| Recently I got interested in maintaining seed stocks because MAF is destroying all incoming legumes and I can't find my favourite bean seeds anywhere. So count me in if you wish to organize something. Currently I have only ordinary varieties of veg and flowers that we plant year to year. But I would be happy to help grow and maintain an NZ seedbank or something. I do have a small amount of NZ soybean developed by Crop and Food before life got so complicated. If there is interest I'm happy to share. Selected for hardy, cool climate. Wayne Thresher |
