Lovely photos, as always.
I just had a "puter"crash, so I'm glad to be able to get some lovely pictures for my slide album.
I think your Wanderer butterfly is a sub species of our
Monarch butterfly. We see a lot of them in late fall migration .

Gee that's no good having your Computer crash. And Thank You Inga I am glad you like those photos
The Wanderer Butterfly is known as the Monarch Butterfly in North America it is the same Butterfly why different Common Names I have no idea.

It'a always lovely to find your photo posts .
My puter crash wasn't as bad as could be. I do back-up once a month. Just lost some software and of course, had to have a new hard drive installed.

I think the Wonderer name very apt., as here it travels from Canada and overwinters in Mexico.

Thank You Inga I appreciate you taking the time to reply
I don't do a backup though my thousand or more photos get removed at the end of every month and put on an external Hard Drive.

Yes that Wanderer name suits it better I am not sure if it travels all over Australia same as I am not sure if it overwinters in the Tropics here or not

I had a look around on Google and found this on the link below it explains it all

Here is a link that might be useful: Wanderer Butterfly
