Thank you for the lovely blooms. Bird of paradise we only see as cut flowers here.
Wednesday morning we are promised -3°C. Definitely not bird of paradise weather.

Thank you Inga,
This plant is over 40 years old and flowers most of the year.It is lovely as it can stand drought and flood and doesnt use much water.I have never fed it and the blooms last abt 3 weeks as a cut flower.We use them in the church and makea nice show with complementary flowers.

Yes tough as old boots the Strelitzia reginae are Chas, they certainly look good in a vase
Too many in this area and they certainly thrive on neglect.
