First Time Wisteria.

Its taken four years for this creeper to flower in the Sub-Tropics.
Must have been the longer colder Winter than we usually have.
Not a great amount of racemes, but I was very happy the other blue and white have not flowered yet.

Just beautiful.
My sister in law will love your photos. She struggled for years to get some blooms.
Could I have your permission to use the last of your photos, as a birthday card for her?
I have been making my own cards for years and this is the best photo I have ever encountered. Thank you in advance.
I can see some flowers in the background too.

Thanks Inga Yes that's ok if it is too small let me know here, the red foliage is a Croton and the orange is a Bougainvillea I will go out now and take some pics of it and others that are flowering a little, it rained overnight only 8mm but the first for months and the grass greens up almost instantly with our warmer weather..

Thanks Chas it was worth waiting for...

Thank you. As a matter of fact, this photo is my wallpaper at the moment. It looks fabulous with the black background.
I always use some lovely flowers and change them often.

Thank you Mistymorn.
I made a picture, instead of just a card, from your lovely wisteria bloom. My sister-in-law was absolutely delighted with her birthday gift.
Good memories, of Italy, that was loaded with wisteria blooms when we visited there .
Thank you for letting me use your lovely photo.

Hello mistymorn, interesting to see you have Wisteria flowering in Brisbane. We have a place at Mt tamborine. where you probably know it flowers abundantly. Well done.

Here is a link that might be useful: Vireya Rhododendron Nursery

RE: First Time Wisteria.

Hi.. Would you believe I have never seen Wisteria flowering at Mt Tamborine and live not that far away.
I have been too Toowoomba for their Flower Festival and seen it there in its glory..

Thank you for the link those Vireya Rhododendron are so beautiful I love the Highland White Jade and Neesa.
I don't have any but I see them often at Roma Street Parklands I took this one in April.
The ones I took two weeks ago are a little out of focus much paler colours which I prefer..

Hi 'MistyMorn'! Love your pics! I have just joined, after finding the site & some help from the 'admin' side of the site. Went to the posts first thing & saw your pics & decided to join! What an inpiration your pics are! I hope to add some from garden & others .. once I sort out the sections of the site!
I have discovered a poor old wisteria plant (or what was left of it) near my front fence (moved to this house some 7mths ago) all but cut down to the ground, but am now in process of saving it & will train it over wire along the fence panels as a backdrop to the garden I have made in front of it. The wisteria started to shoot once I mulched the area in front of it for a garden.. what a find!
Anyway, off to explore the site & other pics! Cheers, Dianne. :)

Hi Dianne..And Welcome..
Sadly most of the old Members do not post here anymore they have all gone to other forums I only get on here occasionally to see who has been on..

I am glad you like my pics Thank You So Much I appricate your comments.

Its been warm here in Brisbane the past Winter and Spring and my Wisteria has just finished flowering, where last year it did not start till early October, being another year older it looked better and had increased in width not in height though as it growing on a dead tree trunk and I wont let it get any higher ..

All the best with your Wisteria it should come on very well .. Cheers Mary-Anne
