Full StoryJust something a bit different and not a flower in sight. Not everyone has the climate to grow Avocadoes or Meyer lemons so I thought I just chuck in a picture I took the other day while wandering around looking for something to take a picture of. The Avo., by the way, is not the usual A. Hass that most folks plant around here, this one has fruit about twice the size, and while some say it's not a commercial variety, I'm told the fruit is delicious. I don't eat them, I don't like 'em so I give them all (or most) away to the neighbours, about 3 to 4 full wheel barrow loads a year. And the crows and magpies have a good feed of them too. By the way, the fruit of the Meyer lemon this year, along with the Washington Naval Orange, is a bit poorly due to Queensland fruit fly infestation and powdery mildew. Arr well, there's good seasons and not so good.
