Yep, not much can better a lovely Camellia Sassanqua this time of year Chas. Nice one. Bill.
|
We are "blooming" roses, at this time of year, so this lovely camellia is a fresh contrast. They do grow on the Canadian west coast, British Colombia, as the climate is not so harsh, but in Ontario, we only see them occasionally in hot/green houses.

Thanks Bill and Inga, although it's now winter and been quite wet and chilly(not by your standards Inga) but there is plenty to do. The winter vegies and spring bulbs are growing slowly. I had to pull out the roses from the front garden as the fence needs major repairs. I did take some cuttings from them and hoping they survive. All my roses are from cuttings. I read that rats and mice dont like mint so I put some mint tea bags(that i've been trying to have an excuse to get rid of) amid the vegies and wait for results. chas

Why not try a couple of old fashioned rat and mouse traps, Chas. I reckon the old, spring loaded, snap, bang, break the buggers necks are the best. B
