Allamanda border

This is a border of Allamanda cathartica 'sunny', a smallish, bush-growing allamanda to about 1/2 a metre that I'm nurturing from cuttings, most taken about 18 months ago. There's about 50 in here. The white one at the far end is A. blanchettii, normally a climber but I'm training it here as a standard. Being in the sub-tropics allamandas flower all summer long as do mandeviileas and thunbergias and other heat loving things. What is looking magnificent here abouts is the Poinciana (delonix regina)

I seem to remember, you posted a photo before, of some low growing Allamandas. That is some show.

RE: Allamanda border

The "dwarf" Allamanda is used a lot in landscaping here as well, easier to keep under control. The Delonix regia finished flowering a couple of months ago here.

By the way, Tropic..... , where in the U.S. are you?

The name I use is tropicbreeze-NT, the "NT" stands for the Northern Territory.

See current comment under 'Grevillea Mt Brockman'.

U.S. or N.T. Tropic...? Just curious.

Glad you noticed that, I hadn't looked. I registered as being in Australia (never been to the USA in my life). It was still correct some time back as some posters have commented previously on me being in Oz. Seems like there's been a glitch in the system. It's also given me a sex change (don't remember getting the operation, LOL). I notice yours shows you being in the USA as well.

I tried to correct it but the system just states it's an invalid address and rejects the change. I've emailed them to alert them of the problem so hopefully it can be sorted out soon.

Hah, yeah, I "live in the United States" and my zone is "NSW Aust". As the yanks 'ed say: "go figure!" Terranora is near Tweed Heads and that's definitely NSW. Maybe all of us should go take a look now and then at their 'My Page'. As you had no result I don't think I'll try to change it, the NSW should make it obvious. Thanks for alerting us Tropi. (excuse the shortening of your title).

I have to comment on the glitch in the system. I live in Toronto. Ontario, Canada, but my original entry has been changed, too USA. I tried to change it, without success. I've been a user for many years. At one time, we all had to re-register and change user names too.

RE: Allamanda border

Did you get a sex change too (at no extra cost, LOL)? They haven't replied to my email, or even acknowledged it. Guess I could put a comment about my right location in the comments section. I don't want to change my user name, it's the same one I use on several sites, at least the "tropicbreeze" part.

Looks like they reckon everyone on the planet lives in the U.S. of A. Excuse me looking at your 'page' Inga but I didn't notice any notation as to your gender. I've always had the opinion you're female; didn't know you're retired though (as I, too, am). Tropic (excuse abbreviation) your gender isn't mentioned either, I'm of the opinion you're a bloke like meself! Guess it doesn't really matter where they reckon we all live, we know we all don't speak with a 'Yankee' drawl (No offence intended to the yanks).

I tried to change the location again but it refused. Then tried just to change the gender (it shows up as female when I look) but it also refused that. When I tried to put an entry in the comments box it also refused to do that. And I still haven't had a reply to the email I sent them.

I'd be surprised if you get a response, but let's know if you do.

Don't know how many years it is since I've been on the Garden Web, but how lovely to see a lot of you are still here. Hi to funnelweb, Inga, Mistymorn etc.
Nice to see you all again - and my wonderful photographer friend, Mistymorn. Loved your photo of the bee. Your photography has certainly improved.
What isn't lovely is to see the G.W, still hasn't changed in the way it operates. Still won't allow you to change things.
