| Could someone please help identify this tree? I saw it in Ballarat in December 2011. I have never seen a tree so big and covered with these beautiful flowers. |

| I've run it past some other folk who suggested it might be Virgilia capensis. If you Google for pics you might be able to confirm this (we can only see the back of the flowers) |
