Bush Pear (Leichhardtia australis) – Family Asclepiadaceae. Native to inland central desert areas of Australia. Common names: Bush pear; bush banana, Cogla, Utiralya(plant), Kalkula(fruit). Named after Ludwig Leichhardt, an early European explorer. The Gold mning town Kalgoorlie is named after the fruit. It is a small genus closely related to the genus Marsdenia.
