I have to say that i dont even know if you can start them from cutings, but if you can can somebody help me out with one or two,i dont care much about the colour,will pay for all costs

Dave, You certainly can do that. The best time to strike them would be in late spring or summer, from semi-hardwood cuttings. Cheers, Dee. |

Thanks for that Dee, i have looked hear and we only have one shop and he tells me that thay will not grow hear we get days of 46c in summer, is that right, if so how would thay go in the shade of a bigger tree. Thanks Dave.. |

| Dave, I have never tried cuttings of camelia trees. But I can tell you that they grow very well indeed in the Adelaide Hills. Frost does not harm them. The heat doesn't either. They do quite well in a bit of semi-shade, too. If you'd like cuttings, send me an email. We've got red and white ones. |

Dave, you should be able to grow them there. What have you got to lose anyway? If you can get some cuttings from Spatzbear go for it. Just wait till spring, or you probably won't have any success. Cheers, Dee. |
