HAVE: Tomato seeds help me raise them!

| Those who *know* me know I don't grow veggies. But a friend who grows tomatoes sent me a tiny selection of what are supposed to be tasty and small-growing varieties . I was very remiss in that I have only sown some tonight but have a (very few) of 8 varieties left. I guess by now this would be better for warmer climate folk. His cultural notes included. The lot in one for postage with an IOU in case you get germination and I don't. I repeat there are only a few seeds of each but perhaps enough to get someone else started with. Please help if interested. |

| Alas, I can't use them, but I just wanted to say that those small-fruiting varieties are excellent to have in the garden. Shops charge premium prices for them, yet they're easier to grow (ie grow and mature faster, and so fruit over a much longer period) than the larger varieties. My mother has the yellow pear-shaped variety, which I bought once years ago and which now self-seeds in her veggie garden every year. And I don't think it's too late for people in the southern states (or cooler climes) to start them from seed, because of their quick maturity. |
