Many thanks |

Hi Ray Is that one the one called "native cherry" because if it is then it is a parasite on Eucalypt roots I have it growing on my place and could get you some seeds (I think these form on the outside on the end of the fruit) next season...they fruit here from about november on...assuming you do not get a better offer cheers Peter |

Thanks Peter. Don't know it by any other name; The fruit is whitish and the seed is attached at the end. Didn't know it was a parasite on eucalypts. Anyway, I'd really appreciate some seeds when they fruit. |

| I've got 2 of those native cherries growing here but have never seen them flower/fruit. :( As Peter said, they are root parasites. The seeds/cuttings are very difficult to propagate. In one book it is stated that the seeds germinate a bit better after they have been digested and discarded by birds. Good luck! |

| Raymondo, you remind me in a few weeks or couple of months when the fruit is ripe (it's still green now) and I'll send you some seed, it's supposed to be a bit tricky to get them going but it's possible. The species that's native down here has a red fruit, not the best fruit you can eat but it's edible and the tree looks good, there are hundreds of them behind our place and along the roadside |

| Hi nicefrog, if the fruit is brown, then is it Exocarpus sparteus, also known as the Brown Ballart? |
